Educational Audiological Review Team

Audiological review is mandated in the Child Vision and Hearing Act. Eisenhower Cooperative’s Educational Audiological Review (EAR) Team meets on a monthly basis to make recommendations for students with hearing problems identified through the school screening program. The team consists of an educational audiologist, a hearing diagnostician, and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program supervisor. The EAR Team reviews the student’s audiogram, educational screening form, and the treating physician’s report in order to make appropriate recommendations to the school nurse/health clerk. The EAR Team will review any audiological evaluations completed privately or through the Eisenhower Cooperative’s referral process and clarify any given recommendations. All members of the team are available to answer district or parent’s questions and concerns regarding the student’s hearing.
